* Use text evidence and ideas to figure out what will happen next
* Analyze and evaluate text; tell why you like what the author wrote
* Is the author writing to tell you information or make you laugh?
* Predictions

Reading: All students will read:
The Big Trip
English: Compound sentences, the components of writing a letter to someone
Reminder: The blue decodable books are to stay in the backpacks after your child
practices reading them every night at home.
3-24-14, Spelling Words:
See your child's folder for their list (Octopus list or Shark list)
Please see my Spelling City class spelling list page too. There are also Math vocabulary words for extra practice.
Science: We will continue our inquiry lessons to understand the design process. A short quiz will be given. Your child will need to know:
how technology helps us and name one type of technology
the steps of the design process
1. find a problem (set a goal)
2. Plan and draw or design a plan
3. Choose materials
4. Record and share data
